RED, WHITE, & BLUE

Me and Mackie went to the grocery store today. It was when we were coming back home, we pulled into our driveway and I saw this flag. It looked so bright and beautiful flying in the wind. By the way this is not my house, but a neighbor who probably is wondering why in the heck I am taking pictures of her house. (I did have a flag up, but the wind gust get up to around 70-80mph around here and it always breaks my pole, so if you see a flag flying past your house one day, it's probably mine!!) Because my husband has been in the Army for 11 years, we are used to seeing US flags everywhere, but I think the more I see them, the more it means to me. This flag truly is OUR way of life. I am thankful for each and every military person who defends it!!!!

MOOSE!!!!

I was taking the kids to school this morning and we saw 2 moose. One was on the way to school, and I didn't have time to take a picture of her. But, closer to home at about 8:30am, I saw this moose standing by herself. They always eat on these trees, but I can't figure out what they are eating as there are no leaves on the trees. They say that a moose lives in one place and will stay within a 5 mile radius of her bed, until they run out of food and have to move on. They are fascinating creatures. They think they own everything here. You have to be careful, though, because unlike deer, they are not afraid of you and will hurt you. I was in the car when I took this picture.

Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone??

Jacob is a real man's man. He loves cowboys, guns, frogs, fishing, hunting....... This is him in one of his daily outfits that he comes up with. Look out Emily, McKinley, oops, I meant squirrels!!! Here he comes!
